For the millions living in the Los Angeles area, not many will know that 212 runners will be above them, running 100 miles along the San Gabriel mountains. For the 212 of us, we toe the line in Altadena, prepared and ready for 20k+ feet of elevation gain, 100 degree weather, with the hope of returning back to Loma Alta park in under 33 hours. We come from different backgrounds, share different experiences, but gather here as one. No matter how your day goes, you are here, at the start line of The Angeles Crest 100 mile endurance run.
